Brian Stein is a Vice President with Intueor Consulting, Inc. He has more than 20 years of Transit Automated Fare Collection and Parking Systems experience from Jacobs/CH2M, Accenture, Scheidt & Bachmann USA, Inc and Giesecke & Devrient America; including Project Management, Business Process Review, Sales and Marketing and Business Development, coupled with 10 years of hardware and software engineering experience. Over these 20 years, Brian has developed a subject matter expertise in defining and implementing Automated Payment and Fare Collection Systems for the Public Transportation Industry, including mobile and payment technologies.
Brian was the Treasurer for and a member of the Secure Technology Alliance Board, as well as a member of the Secure Technology Alliance’s Executive Council. Additionally, Brian has also held the position of vice-chair for APTA’s UTFS Contactless Fare Media Standard working group that developed part III of the published CFMS standard and for the CFMS working group that developed Part V, Testing certification specification. Brian is the former vice-chair for the ongoing CFMS standard efforts and past board member for the Massachusetts Association of Regional Transit Authorities. Brian is also an active member in the Secure Technology Alliance, in which he has helped co-write various industry white papers.
Prior to working in the transportation industry, Brian worked over a 10-year period in various industries such as Communications, Lottery and Gaming Systems, and Aerospace to name a few, writing firmware and device drivers for various embedded systems.
Brian has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University and a Master of Business Administration from Northeastern University’s High-Tech MBA program.
