David Jackson is Principal Consultant and Leader for the Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and Transit Operations Technology Practice at Intueor. In this capacity he is responsible for complete life cycle of Intueor’s offerings in the ITS and Transit Operations space.
David has more than 25 years of experience, providing technology and management consulting services to public sector clients ranging from small municipalities to many of the major transit agencies across the United States assisting them in the effective utilization of technology systems, management consulting and Best Practices services for a large variety of operations management systems, security systems and customer information & public outreach applications. In addition, David has managed multiple engagements designing the required communications infrastructure to support each of these systems.
David’s areas of expertise include needs assessment; strategic technology planning; RFP development; and equipment and software evaluation, selection and implementation. In addition, he has worked with public sector agencies in business process re-engineering and organizational design relating to all IT Technology as well as operations technologies. His clients include the Detroit Department of Transportation, Pace Suburban Bus, San Mateo County Transportation District, Golden Gate Bridge, Highway & Transportation District, New York City MTA Police Department, San Francisco Municipal Transportation Authority, Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority, among others.
David is also a retired firefighter and first responders after serving 16 years on the Atkins Fire & First Responders Inc. fire service. Prior to that he was a search and recovery diver with the Linn County Underwater Search and Recovery unit in Cedar Rapids, IA.
David obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Iowa.
